Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On June 30, 2022, Douglas N. Armer, Executive Vice President, Capital Markets and Treasurer, of Blackstone Mortgage Trust, Inc. (the “Company” or “BXMT”), gave notice of his resignation to the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of the Company, effective as of July 31, 2022. The Board thanked Mr. Armer for his dedicated service to BXMT since its inception, skillfully leading its capital markets and finance activities through a period of tremendous growth.

Mr. Armer’s notice to resign is not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.

Anthony F. Marone, Jr., the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, will serve as Treasurer upon Mr. Armer’s departure.
