By accessing or using the Equibles platform, including the website at equibles.com, the MCP server, and any associated APIs (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
2. Service Description
Equibles provides access to financial data, including SEC filings, institutional holdings, short interest, insider trading, and related analytics. Data is accessible through:
- The Equibles website (equibles.com)
- The Equibles MCP server for AI tools and agents
- REST API endpoints
3. Not Investment Advice
The Service is for informational purposes only. Equibles is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial planner. Nothing on the Service constitutes investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, or any other form of professional advice.
You should not make any investment decisions based solely on information obtained through the Service. Always consult a qualified financial advisor before making investment decisions. Equibles makes no representation or warranty regarding the suitability of any investment.
4. Data Sources and Accuracy
Financial data provided through the Service is sourced from public sources, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) EDGAR system, FINRA, and third-party data providers.
All data is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Equibles does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any data. Financial data may contain errors, omissions, or delays. Equibles is not responsible for errors originating from source data providers.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the website outside of the provided API and MCP server
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense data obtained from the Service without prior written consent
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security measures
- Use the Service in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair the platform
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
6. Intellectual Property
The Equibles platform, including its design, software, and documentation, is owned by Equibles Lda. Underlying financial data sourced from SEC EDGAR and other public government sources is in the public domain.
Content you create through the Service (such as chat messages or reports) remains your property. By using the Service, you grant Equibles a limited license to process your content as necessary to provide the Service.
7. User Accounts
When you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information. Equibles reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that appear to be fraudulent.
8. API and MCP Server Usage
Access to the API and MCP server is subject to rate limits and fair use policies. Free tier users are subject to usage quotas that may change at any time. Abuse of API or MCP endpoints, including excessive requests or automated scraping beyond rate limits, may result in temporary or permanent access revocation without notice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Equibles shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Financial losses resulting from investment decisions made using data from the Service
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Service interruptions, delays, or downtime
- Errors or inaccuracies in financial data
In no event shall Equibles' total liability exceed the amount you have paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Equibles and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. You may close your account at any time. Equibles may suspend or terminate your access without prior notice if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal.
