This update's largest piece is Canada: 2,630 listings on the Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture, the Canadian Securities Exchange and Cboe Canada, from Royal Bank and Shopify in Toronto to more than 1,200 companies on TSX Venture.
Every listing has a stock page with the same layout as a US stock, so the research you already do on Apple or NVIDIA now works on Couche-Tard, Canadian Natural or a Venture-listed miner.
Plus price update
We are updating the price of Plus. If you already subscribe, your price does not change. For new subscribers, Plus goes from $9.99 to $14.99 a month on Sunday, November 8, and from $99.90 to $149.90 a year. Subscribe by Saturday to keep today's price for as long as you keep your subscription.
Which markets are covered?
- Toronto Stock Exchange: 647 listings.
- TSX Venture Exchange: 1,253 listings.
- Canadian Securities Exchange: 711 listings.
- Cboe Canada: 19 listings.
Each listing has its own page at its exchange and ticker, for example Royal Bank on the TSX or Couche-Tard on the TSX. Prices and market caps are shown in Canadian dollars. A company whose only US line trades over the counter now presents its Canadian listing as its main page.
Live prices on Plus and Pro
On Plus and Pro, Canadian stock pages show the price during the session and update it live while the page is open: real time for the TSX and TSX Venture, and delayed for the CSE and Cboe Canada. The same readings come through GetLiveQuote on the MCP server and /v1/quotes on the REST API, using MIC:TICKER symbols such as XTSE:RY.

Option chains
More than 200 TSX companies with listed options now show an Options Chain section on Plus and Pro: real-time bid and ask, the exchange's implied volatility and open interest for every listed contract, with strikes and prices in Canadian dollars, and each contract's closing mark after the session ends. GetOptionChain, GetOptionExpirations, GetOptionContract and the REST options endpoints accept the same MIC:TICKER symbols.

Filings
Each company on the TSX, TSX Venture and the CSE has a Filings section listing its SEDAR+ filings back to 2017, more than 1.1 million documents, and each one opens on our site.
Dividends
Canadian listings carry their dividend history, and upcoming dividends show the declared ex-dividend, record and payment dates as the exchange states them, more than 100 upcoming ex-dates today. They are on each company's Summary page and come through GetDividendHistory and /v1/stocks/XTSE:RY/dividends.
Insider trades, short positions and fund holdings
- Insider trades: more than 113,000 transactions filed on SEDI, Canada's insider disclosure system, over the past year for more than 2,100 companies, with new filings added every day. They are on each company's Insider Trades section and come through
GetCanadianInsiderTransactionsand/v1/stocks/{exchange}/{ticker}/insider-transactions. - Short positions: the aggregate short positions reported to CIRO twice a month for more than 2,500 listings, with days to cover from each listing's own volume and the share of each period's trading that was sold short. They are on the Short Interest section and come through
GetCanadianShortPositionsand/v1/stocks/{exchange}/{ticker}/short-positions. - Fund holdings: the Canadian exchange-traded funds holding each stock, from each fund's own newest published portfolio, 45 funds across 418 listings so far. They are on the Held by Funds section and come through
GetCanadianFundHoldingsand/v1/stocks/{exchange}/{ticker}/canadian-fund-holdings.

Indexes, the economy and government contracts
- S&P/TSX indexes: the S&P/TSX 60, the Composite, the Venture Composite and the sector indexes, with membership from the exchange's own constituent lists, on index pages that link every member to its stock page, and
GetIndexCompositionover MCP. - Canadian economic data: the Bank of Canada's policy rate, CORRA and bond yields, and Statistics Canada's CPI, unemployment, employment and real GDP, on the economic data page and through the economic tools with
country=CA. - Government of Canada contracts: contracts won by companies listed in Canada, reported since April 2017 and stated in Canadian dollars, through
GetGovernmentContractsand/v1/stocks/{exchange}/{ticker}/government-contracts.

Screen Canadian stocks
The stock screener lists Canadian companies under the Canada market, with prices and market caps in US dollars at the daily exchange rate beside the Canadian price, plus volume, dollar volume, returns and the 52-week range from each listing's own trading. Companies listed in both Canada and the US appear once.

Portfolios and ALVIS
Portfolios hold Canadian stocks and Montreal option contracts in Canadian dollars, valued at the official exchange rate. ALVIS, the research assistant, answers questions about a Canadian company with its live price, option chain, dividends, insider trades, short positions and fund holdings, using the same MIC:TICKER names.
Beyond Canada
Canada is the largest piece of this update. The other main changes since the October update follow.
Options: history, positioning and the volatility smile
On Plus and Pro, every US option contract now has its history: daily bars, trades and whole sessions for the past 2 years, expired contracts included, through GetOptionContractHistory, GetOptionTrades, GetOptionChainSession and the REST options endpoints. GetOptionChainSummary reads one expiration's positioning from the live chain: open interest and volume by side with put/call ratios, max pain, at-the-money implied volatility, the straddle's implied expected move, 25-delta skew, the strikes with the most gamma and the contracts trading heaviest against their open interest; GetOptionTermStructure lines up at-the-money volatility across expirations.
The Options Chain tab shows the same positioning in tiles, a volatility smile, and a strike drawer with each contract's own chart; every row carries its previous session, latest print and quote depth. ALVIS reads all of it, and prices calendar and diagonal spreads path by path.

Documents
Each company's Documents section is now one list of its filings and calls, with a headline and summary on the ones we have summarized, and the Summary page shows the top of it. A company listed in Canada, France or China shows its home-market filings beside any SEC ones.

Valuation
Price/Sales and Price/Book join the valuation multiples, their history, the chart, REST and the MCP server, and a figure is stated even when its ratio cannot be formed.

European ETFs and non-US listings
Exchange-traded funds listed on Xetra appear in ETF search, profiles and listings, and more than 1,400 of them show their holdings on the fund's page, in the held-by-funds lists, on REST and over MCP. The MCP server and REST API gained listing search, ISIN lookup, the list of covered markets and stock profiles, Euronext delayed quotes and a GetStockSplits tool. The REST company, price, dividend and split routes accept MIC:TICKER for listings outside the US, and a retired ticker answers with its history and a listing notice.
Holders
Every holder of a stock is on one page, with the same list on MCP, REST and ALVIS: 13F filers rolled up to their parents, each holder's conviction, crowding, tenure and estimated cost, which the screener can filter on, Schedule 13D and 13G stakes with their status and purpose, and major-holding notifications from the UK, the Netherlands, France and Spain beside the US ones. Each adviser's page shows its Form ADV history and the strategies its brochure states.

Account and billing
Plus, Pro and Teams can be billed yearly, with a Monthly / Yearly switch on the pricing page. Plan changes are self-serve in Billing: switch from Pro to Plus at renewal, cancel with the cheaper plan offered first, and upgrade from a first month of Plus to Pro at the first-month price. Accounts gained profile photos, email change, a list of signed-in devices to sign out, a usage history, and the export and deletion of your own data. Pro includes distribution rights again, excluding licensed and FINRA data.
Also new
- Investor relations news: press releases from 8-Ks and from each company's own newsroom for companies without a news feed, the next earnings call stated beside the IR calendar (scheduled, or estimated from past calls), and guidance compared with the previous release.
- REST API: weekly and monthly bars on the daily price route, a date on every screener row's price, and a debt data page covering notes, loans and covenant terms.
- Stocks: delisted companies keep their history at their old ticker, and search groups ETFs with each listing's exchange.
The changelog lists every MCP and REST change.
