Our January 8, 2026 press release reported that comparable store sales, for stores open at least one full year, for the five-week period ended January 3, 2026, increased 5.5 percent in comparison to the prior year five-week period ended January 4, 2025. Total net sales for the five-week fiscal month increased 6.5 percent to $215.3 million compared to net sales of $202.1 million in the prior year five-week fiscal month ended January 4, 2025. On the men’s side of the business, total sales for the five-week fiscal period ended January 3, 2026 increased 2.0 percent in comparison to the prior year five-week period ended January 4, 2025. The men’s business represented approximately 57.5 percent of total sales for the month, versus approximately 60.0 percent for the same period in the prior year. For the fiscal month, overall price points on the men’s side of the business were up about 4.5 percent. On the women’s side of the business, total sales for the five-week fiscal period ended January 3, 2026 increased 13.0 percent in comparison to the prior year five-week period ended January 4, 2025. The women’s business represented approximately 42.5 percent of total sales for the month, versus approximately 40.0 percent in the same period a year ago. For the fiscal month, overall price points on the women’s side of the business increased about 7.0 percent. Within the men’s and women’s categories combined, accessory sales for the fiscal month increased approximately 5.0 percent in comparison to the prior year five-week period ended January 4, 2025, and footwear sales increased about 0.5 percent. These two categories accounted for approximately 12.0 percent and 5.0 percent, respectively, of the current fiscal December net sales. This compares with approximately 12.5 percent and 5.5 percent, respectively, for each in the prior year. Average accessory price points for the month were up about 8.0 percent, and average footwear price points increased approximately 9.0 percent. For the month, UPT’s decreased approximately 1.5 percent while the average transaction value increased about 4.0 percent compared to the prior year five-week period ended January 4, 2025. Buckle currently operates 443 retail stores in 42 states, compared to 444 stores in 42 states as of January 8, 2025.
