New Learning Essentials Curriculum Strengthens Child Outcomes Through Research-Based Design, Executive Function Development, and Signature Enrichments New research-based curriculum designed exclusively for The Crème School Designed to drive strong child outcomes: confidence, independence, executive function skill building and school readiness Part of The Crème Learning Approach™, integrating academics, enrichments, and executive function LAKE OSWEGO, Ore., March 3, 2026 – The Crème School, a leading provider of premium, high-quality early childhood education, has launched Learning Essentials, a new research-based curriculum created exclusively for Crème classrooms. Designed for children from infants through Pre-K, the new curriculum is grounded in The Crème Learning Approach™, a comprehensive model that blends enriching curriculum, talented educators and signature amenities to create meaningful, joyful learning experiences. Unlike off-the-shelf programs, Learning Essentials is custom-designed for The Crème School’s unique rotation schedule, small-group instruction and signature enrichments. The curriculum emphasizes six core developmental domains and places special focus on executive function skills such as attention, memory, flexible thinking, collaboration, and emotional regulation – critical abilities that shape long-term academic and life success. Learning Essentials is rooted in foundational learning theory, drawing from both classical developmental research and constructivist approaches that recognize children learn best through active exploration and meaningful interaction. Importantly, Learning Essentials creates a seamless academic pathway into Crème’s private kindergarten program, which launched in fall 2025. By strengthening early literacy, math foundations, executive function, and independence in the Pre-K years, the curriculum ensures children enter kindergarten prepared for the more structured, standards-based instruction delivered through Crème’s private kindergarten model. “Building upon decades of research in how young children grow and learn, Learning Essentials is a cohesive daily curriculum that incorporates play, hands-on exploration, and purposeful routines,” said Stephanie Sturdevant-Ward, Vice President of The Crème School. “This unique core curriculum ensures the children in our care are building the right skills at the right time and gives our teachers the tools to nurture confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning.” Learning Essentials is one part of The Crème Learning Approach™, which includes: Learning Essentials: A cohesive daily curriculum integrating math, literacy, and movement through intentional instruction and child-directed learning stations Signature Enrichments: Daily STEM, Spanish, Music, and Art for Early Preschool through Crème Prep Enhanced Enrichments: Select programs such as Culinary, Mandarin, and Bowling, depending on location Electives: Optional classes including soccer, ballet, and martial arts Daily 30-minute rotations to create dynamic, engaging learning experiences AboutThe Crème de la Crème™ School The Crème de la Crème™ School (NYSE: KLC) offers an unparalleled, boutique early learning experience for children, from infants through kindergarten.
