PARIS and CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Oct. 01, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NANOBIOTIX (Euronext: NANO - NASDAQ: NBTX - the “Company”), a late-stage clinical biotechnology company pioneering physics-based approaches to expand treatment possibilities for patients with cancer and other major diseases, today announced the appointment of Arnd Christ as chief financial officer and member of the Company’s executive board, effective October 1, 2026. Mr. Christ brings more than two decades of financial leadership in publicly listed biotechnology companies in Europe and the United States. He succeeds Bart Van Rhijn, who will step down as chief financial & business officer and member of the executive board after five years of service to the Company.
"Nanobiotix is at a defining point in its history, moving from a story carried primarily by one asset to one that is informed by multiple platforms," said Mr. Christ. "I look forward to joining the team and contributing my expertise to advance these promising platforms for the benefit of patients with cancer and other major diseases."
Mr. Christ has spent more than 25 years as chief financial officer of public and private biotechnology companies in Europe and the United States. He most recently served as chief financial officer of Immatics N.V., a Nasdaq-listed biotechnology company, from October 2020 until September 2025. Before Immatics he was chief financial officer of various private and public European biotech companies including InflaRx N.V., MediGene AG, NovImmune SA and Probiodrug AG, and served on the supervisory board of Immunocore. During his career, Arnd conducted a significant range of corporate transactions such as IPO, licensing deals and fundraising for private and publicly listed biotech companies.
“Arnd has overseen the financial needs of public companies in our industry on both sides of the Atlantic,” said Laurent Levy, co-founder and chairman of the executive board at Nanobiotix. “His experience comes at an important time for Nanobiotix as we enter our next phase of growth, and I am confident he will make a meaningful contribution to our continued progress. I also want to extend gratitude to Bart Van Rhijn for his leadership over the past 5 years, which helped drive the strengthening of both our financial and business foundation while positioning Nanobiotix for the opportunities ahead. On behalf of everyone at Nanobiotix, I thank Bart for his commitment to the company and wish him every success in his next chapter.”
