IAMGOLD Supports Launch Canada 2026 in Timmins IAMGOLD proudly supported Launch Canada 2026 in Timmins, an event that brings together students, educators, volunteers and industry partners from across the country to showcase innovation in aerospace, engineering and rocketry. Through student-designed rockets, technical presentations, interactive activities and live rocket launches, participants had the opportunity to apply their skills, share knowledge and learn from one another. As part of IAMGOLD's sponsorship, President and CEO Renaud Adams addressed attendees, highlighting the many similarities between aerospace and mining. Both industries depend on advanced technology, data, precision, safety, problem-solving and teamwork to succeed.While aerospace and mining may appear very different at first glance, both depend on the curiosity, innovation and technical expertise of future generations. Many of the principles that help launch a rocket safely into the sky are the same principles used to operate modern mining technologies, including autonomous equipment, digital systems and data-driven decision-making. The event also served as a reminder of the importance of investing in young talent. Through competitions, hands-on learning and real-world challenges, students developed skills that will be valuable across a wide range of industries in the years ahead.
