QuidelOrtho China Volume-Based Procurement – Current Considerations

As a result of a recent research report regarding the potential for adoption of a dry chemistry Volume-Based Procurement (VBP) program in China, QuidelOrtho Corporation (the “Company”) is providing the following information: Currently, the Company’s business in China represents approximately 12% of total Company revenue. The Jiangxi Provincial Health Security Administration (HSA) stated that it will “explore launching national centralized procurement for dry chemistry (biochemical) test strips.”1 It is our understanding that there is no detailed proposal or plan for such a process currently. We have no indication that the Company’s products will be included in such a program, nor do we have any details on plans for implementation. Given the typical timing of the HSA and the National Healthcare Security Administration (NHSA) review and approval process, the Company does not expect to see implementation of any proposed JiangXi VBP program until at least late 2026.
