Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S/A (“Company” or “Eletrobras”) (B3: ELET3, ELET5 & ELET6; NYSE: EBR & EBR.B; LATIBEX: XELT.O & XELT.B), due to news published by the media, informs its shareholders and the market in general, in addition to the Relevant Facts disclosed on March 9, 2022 and on April 14, 2022, and the Market Announcement of April 18, 2022, that is, together with Furnas Centrais Elétricas ("Furnas"), a subsidiary of Eletrobras, evaluating the obligations of shareholders that may arise from the arbitration procedure CCI 21.511/ASM ("Arbitration Procedure"), due to the possible impacts on the purpose company Santo Antônio Energia S.A (“SAESA”), controlled by Madeira Energia S.A (“MESA”), of which Furnas holds 43.06% of the capital stock.
The Company will keep the market informed about the matter dealt with in this Announcement.
