Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers
On September 15, 2026, John M. Mercier, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer of Bar Harbor Bankshares (the “Company”) and Bar Harbor Bank & Trust (the “Bank”), notified the Board of Directors of the Company and the Bank of his intent to retire effective December 31, 2026 (the “Retirement Date”). Mr. Mercier will continue in his role as Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer until the Retirement Date.
