Item 5.02    Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain

Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On July 20, 2023, Thomas L Patterson, a director of FVCBankcorp, Inc. (the “Company”), notified the Company that he will resign from the board of directors of the Company effective immediately. Mr. Patterson’s resignation is not the result of any disagreement with the Company on matters relating to Company’s operations, policies or practices.

Mr. Patterson was one of the initial founding directors of the Company over 15 years ago. He played a key role in guiding the Company’s evolution from a de novo institution, operating from a single branch, to a $2.3 billion bank holding company serving the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan markets. The Board and officers of the Company are thankful for Mr. Patterson’s dedication and leadership throughout his tenure.
