CALGARY, Alberta, July 10, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NXT Energy Solutions Inc. ("NXT" or the "Company") (TSX: SFD; OTCQB: NSFDF) is pleased to announce it has received an additional US$0.2 million of the previously announced US$2.3 million convertible debenture from Ataraxia Capital, an affiliate of Synergy E&P Technologies Limited (“Ataraxia”). The total amount received to date is US$1.4 million. The terms of the US$1.4 million of the Convertible Debenture received to date include an interest rate of 10%, paid quarterly, and a fixed conversion price of CAD$0.194 (US$0.143) per common share. Ataraxia intends to advance the remaining US$900,000 in the near future with the conversion price adjusted to reflect the higher market price of NXT’s shares.
The proceeds from the Convertible Debenture will fund general and administrative costs including business development and marketing activities to convert NXT’s existing opportunity pipeline into firm contracts.
