ITEM 8.01. Other Events.

On April 15, 2022, OPKO Health, Inc. (the “Company”) was notified that the next-generation long-acting recombinant human growth hormone NGENLA™ (somatrogon), a once-weekly injection to treat children and adolescents from 3 years of age with growth disturbance due to insufficient secretion of growth hormone, marketed by Pfizer Inc. (“Pfizer”), has received pricing approval in Germany and Japan. NGENLA was granted marketing authorization by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in Japan and by the European Commission in January and February of this year, respectively. With the achievement of these milestones, the Company is entitled to receive an aggregate of $85,000,000 in milestone payments under the Amended and Restated Development and Commercialization License Agreement, dated May 12, 2020, by and between OPKO Ireland Ltd., a subsidiary of the Company, and Pfizer.
