Petrobras clarifies media reportson fuel prices***—***

Rio de Janeiro, September 18, 2024– A Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras, in relation to news published in the media, informs that it is not true that the company has decided to reduce fuel prices. Any adjustments to the prices of its products are made in the normal course of its business with no defined periodicity and, when there is a decision to change, the price list is immediately disclosed to its customers through corporate channels.

As part of its routine process, the company monitors price variations in the international oil market daily, as well as the consequences for the Brazilian market.

Petrobras reaffirms that any adjustments to the prices of its products, when necessary, will be made on the basis of independent technical analyses, taking into account the company's market share and the optimized operation of its refining and logistics assets, in line with the premises of its commercial strategy.

The commercial strategy allows Petrobras to practice competitive prices that are in balance with the international and domestic markets, while at the same time avoiding the passing on to domestic prices of the short-term volatility of international prices and the exchange rate, providing periods of price stability for its customers.
