Item 8.01 Other Events.

On November 20, 2025, the Board of Directors of SmartStop Self Storage REIT, Inc. (the “Company”) declared a dividend for the month of December 2025, which reflects a targeted annualized dividend of $1.60 per share. The dividend has a record date as of the close of business of the last business day of December 2025 and will be payable to stockholders of record as of the monthly record date set forth below:
