Outage required for Avista customers in Weippe

August. 12, 2026: Approximately 719 Avista customers in Weippe, and the surrounding areas will experience a power outage starting at 8 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m. on August 19. Customers who will be impacted by the outage will be notified directly. During this time, Avista will be conducting infrastructure upgrades supporting wildfire resiliency, at the Weippe substation. No road closures are expected during the outage time. Avista is continually updating equipment and infrastructure to increase the safety and reliability of its system.
