Vale informs the Audit and Risks Committee’s new composition

Rio de Janeiro, November 28, 2024 - Vale S.A. ("Vale" or "Company") informs that its Board of Directors approved on this date the new composition of Vale’s Audit and Risks Committee (“Committee”). Mrs. Heloísa Belotti Bedicks and Mr. Reinaldo Duarte Castanheira Filho were elected as new members of the Committee. The Committee remains composed entirely of independent members, with a total of 3 members, with Mr. Ollie Oliveira as its coordinator and financial expert. Mr. Paulo Cesar Hartung Gomes and Mr. Douglas James Upton, replaced members of the Committee, continue to perform their regular duties as Board members.

on Vale's website. Vale's Audit and Risks Committee is a statutory advisory committee to the Board of Directors, and its main objective is to oversee the quality and integrity of financial reports, compliance with legal, statutory, and regulatory standards, the adequacy of risk management-related processes, and the internal and independent auditors’ activities.
