Item 8.01. Other Events.

On December 2, 2020, Elastic N.V. (the “Company”) completed its previously announced search for a Chief Product Officer to oversee its engineering and product functions and entered into an employment letter with Ashutosh Kulkarni, effective January 4, 2021. Mr. Kulkarni will join the Company from McAfee Corp. where he has been serving as the Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer, Enterprise Business Group and has been responsible for product strategy and execution and for delivering leading-edge cybersecurity offerings. Prior to joining McAfee Corp., Mr. Kulkarni held various senior leadership, product management, product marketing and engineering roles at Akamai Technologies, Informatica and Sun Microsystems. Mr. Kulkarni earned an M.S. in computer engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
