Equibles is now in the ChatGPT plugin directory

Equibles is now listed in ChatGPT's plugin directory. Install it, sign in to your Equibles account, and ChatGPT answers questions about US stocks from the underlying data instead of from memory: the numbers inside SEC filings, 13F holdings, insider and congressional trades, short interest, options chains, earnings call transcripts and Federal Reserve economic series.

Until now, using Equibles in ChatGPT meant adding our MCP server by hand. The plugin has passed OpenAI's app review, so it is now one install away for anyone with ChatGPT.

The Equibles plugin in ChatGPT's plugin directory, with three sample questions and the Install plugin button

How do I add Equibles to ChatGPT?

  1. Open the Equibles plugin, or open Plugins in ChatGPT's sidebar and search for "Equibles".
  2. Click Install plugin, then Continue to Equibles.
  3. Sign in to Equibles if asked, and click Authorize.

There is no API key to copy. ChatGPT holds a short-lived sign-in token that refreshes itself. Start from Try in chat on the plugin page, or type @Equibles in any conversation.

The ChatGPT setup guide shows each step, plus two other routes: adding Equibles as a custom MCP server, and connecting with an API key.

What data can ChatGPT use through Equibles?

The plugin gives ChatGPT more than 110 research tools, backed by the same data as ALVIS and the REST API. ChatGPT picks the right tool for each question, so you ask in plain English. Below is what each dataset covers, with questions you can paste into ChatGPT as they are.

Filing searches return the matching excerpts with the document type and filing date, and tool results link to the matching page on equibles.com, so every number can be checked against its source.

  • "What has Nancy Pelosi traded this year?"
  • "Which members of Congress traded NVDA in the last six months?"

Short interest, short volume and fails-to-deliver

  • "Which stocks have the highest short-squeeze scores right now?"
  • "Which stocks had the largest short volume yesterday?"

Stock prices, dividends and technical indicators

  • "Is the US stock market open today?"

And more

The IPO pipeline from S-1 and F-1 registrations, federal government contracts, FDA advisory committee meetings, executive changes and compensation, buyback and at-the-market programs, debt profiles, a stock screener, and portfolio tracking in your Equibles account. The full tool list covers every tool.

  • "Which companies have upcoming IPOs, and what are their offering terms?"
  • "Which companies won the largest federal contracts this quarter?"
  • "Add 10 shares of AAPL bought at $180 to my portfolio and show my P&L."

Is the ChatGPT plugin free?

Yes. The free Equibles plan covers the reported datasets above with cited answers, within a daily request allowance shared across the MCP server and the REST API. Option chains and intraday stock quotes need a paid plan: Plus gives quotes delayed 15 minutes, and Pro gives real-time stock and option prices. Paid plans also add forecasts, such as next-settlement short-interest estimates and index inclusion probabilities, and higher limits. Pricing has the details.

Does it work outside ChatGPT?

Yes. The plugin connects to the same Equibles MCP server that works in Claude, Cursor and any other client that speaks MCP, and the connection guides cover each one. For your own code, the same data is available over the REST API.

What should we add next?

If ChatGPT gets close to an answer but stops at a missing dataset or a tool that falls short, ask it to send us a suggestion: the plugin includes a tool for exactly that. You can also tell us directly.
