INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS FORM 6-KREPORT

Effective October 26, 2022, the board of directors (the “Board”) of Akanda Corp. (the “Company”) and the compensation committee of the Board approved the issuance of 600,000 restricted stock units (The “RSU Awards”) to Tej Virk, the Company’s chief executive officer. The RSU Awards were issued pursuant to the Company’s 2021 Equity Incentive Plan and the RSU Awards vested immediately.
