Item 8.01. Other Events.
On September 13, 2021, Innovative Payment Solutions, Inc. (the “Company”), announced the soft launch of its new e-wallet app, Beyond Wallet. The Company established a subsidiary, Beyond Fintech, Inc. (the “Subsidiary”), which is majority owned by the Company, which owns and operates the Beyond Wallet app. The Company had previously indicated in a press release that the Subsidiary was wholly-owned by the Company. Beyond Wallet allows the Company’s customers, who utilize the app to, among other things, send cash from the United States to users of the app in Mexico.
