Explanatory Note

This Amendment No. 1 on Form 8-K/A (this “Form 8-K/A”) is an amendment to the Current Report on Form 8-K of OPKO Health, Inc., filed on February 1, 2021 (the “Original Form 8-K”). Following the initial filing of the Original Form 8-K, the Registrant discovered that the wrong item number was inadvertently tagged in the submission. The Registrant is amending the Original Form 8-K solely to include the correct item number. No disclosure has been changed..

Effective on February 1, 2021, Rulfo F. Hernandez, resigned from his position as Chief Accounting Officer, Treasurer and Global Corporate Controller of OPKO Health, Inc. (the “Company”). Mr. Hernandez’s resignation is not a result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.
