Item 8.01. Other Information.
On March 17, 2025, Protagonist Therapeutics, Inc. (the “Company”) and Takeda Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. (“Takeda”) agreed, pursuant to the provisions of the parties’ License and Collaboration Agreement dated January 31, 2024, as amended, that Takeda will assume responsibility for leading and implementing the regulatory strategy and associated activities for preparation of the New Drug Application related to rusfertide in polycythemia vera to be submitted with the United States Food and Drug Administration. The transition to Takeda of leadership for NDA preparation is underway. The Company remains primarily responsible for clinical development activities through NDA filing.
