Item 8.01 Other Events.

Timberland Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) and its financial institution subsidiary, Timberland Bank (“Bank”), are deeply saddened to announce that the Chairman of the Board Jon C. Parker passed away, after a lengthy illness, on June 18, 2023.  Mr. Parker was the majority shareholder/owner of the law firm of Parker & Parker P.S., Hoquiam, Washington, which has served as general counsel to the Company and the Bank.  Mr. Parker became a director of the Bank in 1992 and the Company upon its formation in 1997 and subsequently became Chairman of the Board of both entities in 2009.  Mr. Parker’s legal skills and understanding of the complexities of the banking industry were of enormous value to the Company and the Bank during his tenure as outside counsel and his roles as Director and Chairman of the Board.  He will be greatly missed.
