(“Braskem” or “Company”) (B3 ticker: BRKM3, BRKM5 and BRKM6; NYSE: BAK; LATIBEX: XBRK) hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that the Executive Management Committee (“Gecex”) of the Foreign Trade Chamber (“Camex”) approved the reduction in the import tax, by the inclusion on the List of Exceptions to the Mercosur Common External Tariff (“Letec”), declaring supply problems in the Brazilian market, for the following Company products:

(i) Ethylene and alpha-olefin copolymers
with density lower than 0.94, from 11.2% to 3.3%;
(ii) S-PVC resin obtained from the
suspension process, from 11.2% to 4.4%; and
--- ---
(iii) PP (propylene copolymer) resin,
from 11.2% to 4.4%.

This reduction will be effective for one year as from August 5, 2022 and, during this period, will adversely affect the Company’s results in Brazil. Note that Braskem has always prioritized supply to the Brazilian market and currently there are no signs of lack of the product in this market.

Finally, the Company will assess the implications of this reduction for its business in Brazil, including the revision of its operational and strategic investment plan in the country.
