Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On October 1, 2023, Gregory T. Wanta, Senior Vice President, retired from International Paper Company (“Company”). As previously reported, on January 3, 2023 Mr. Wanta notified the Company of his intent to retire after a transition period.
