Equibles combines primary filings, regulatory disclosures, company-published investor material, and market-data feeds. This page is the map of what is available; the MCP tool reference and REST endpoint reference describe the exact fields and filters.
How to read coverage
- Primary source means the regulator, issuer, exchange, or public authority that publishes the underlying record.
- As reported means Equibles preserves the figure and its source rather than estimating a replacement.
- Derived outputs, such as technical indicators, valuation multiples, rankings, and forecasts, are labelled as calculations built from the underlying records.
- Account data is data you add to your own portfolio or collect through a web data feed. It is never a public dataset and is returned only to the API key or signed-in account that owns it.
Companies, filings & research
| Dataset | What it includes | Primary source | Explore |
|---|---|---|---|
| Company directory | US-listed common-stock identity, ticker aliases, CIK, CUSIP, SIC, industry and issuer metadata. | SEC EDGAR and listing data | Filings |
| SEC documents | Normalized, line-addressable text for filings including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, 20-F, 6-K, 40-F, DEF 14A, and supported amendments. Specialized ownership, fund, adviser, and offering filings are parsed into the datasets below rather than the searchable document corpus. | SEC EDGAR | Filings & documents |
| Filing search | Keyword and semantic retrieval over the document corpus, with source-document and line references. | SEC EDGAR | Filings & documents |
| Financial statements & facts | Issuer-tagged XBRL financial facts, reconstructed reported statements, revenue breakdowns, and company KPIs. | SEC EDGAR XBRL and filings | Fundamentals & valuation |
| Filing-derived analysis | Non-GAAP bridges, management guidance, customer concentration, going-concern disclosures, buybacks, ATM programs, executive changes, executive compensation, and valuation multiples. | SEC filings and XBRL | Fundamentals & valuation and capital & executives |
| IPO pipeline | S-1/F-1 registrations and amendments, effective-prospectus terms, pre-IPO financials, underwriters, risk factors, and filing-backed offering classifications. | SEC EDGAR | IPOs |
Earnings & investor relations
| Dataset | What it includes | Primary source | Explore |
|---|---|---|---|
| Earnings calls | Call events, captured audio where available, speaker-attributed transcripts, verified briefs, insight scores, and guidance readings. | Company webcasts and earnings releases | Earnings calls & investor relations |
| Investor events & slides | Conferences, investor days, shareholder meetings, calendars, and presentation decks when captured. | Company investor-relations sites | Earnings calls & investor relations |
| IR news | Company-published press releases and investor-relations news feeds. | Company investor-relations sites | Earnings calls & investor relations |
Investor-relations and webcast coverage depends on discovering and successfully reading each issuer's own site. An empty result distinguishes unavailable coverage from a confirmed absence where the surface can do so.
Ownership, funds & public officials
| Dataset | What it includes | Primary source | Explore |
|---|---|---|---|
| Institutional ownership | 13F manager portfolios, holder concentration, quarter-over-quarter activity, market-wide activity, and curated superinvestor views. | SEC EDGAR Form 13F | Institutional holdings |
| Funds & ETFs | Registered-fund directory, N-PORT holdings, N-CEN operating information, fund ownership of a stock, and SEC-registered investment-adviser profiles. | SEC EDGAR N-PORT, N-CEN, and Form ADV | Funds & advisers |
| Insider activity | Form 3 initial ownership, Forms 4/5 transactions and ownership updates, Form 144 proposed sales, insider search, and the derived insider-sentiment ranking. | SEC EDGAR | Insider trading |
| Congressional activity | Member profiles, disclosed trades, net-worth bands, and market-wide activity. | US congressional financial disclosures | Congressional trading |
| Index composition | Constituents, weights, changes, provenance, and rules-based forecasts for the S&P 500, S&P MidCap 400, S&P SmallCap 600, Nasdaq-100, Russell 1000, Russell 2000, and Dow Jones Industrial Average. | Holdings disclosures from funds that track each index, plus their published daily baskets where available | Stock indexes |
13F filers may report up to 45 days after quarter-end. During that window, market-wide views combine a newly filed portfolio with a prior-quarter portfolio for managers that have not yet filed. Fund holdings can be either full portfolios or tracked-equities-only; each fund response states its own coverage.
Prices, options & short data
| Dataset | What it includes | Primary source | Explore |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daily prices | Settled daily OHLCV history, latest closes, corporate-action-aware history, technical indicators, and return correlations. | Market-data feed | Prices |
| Live quotes | Latest intraday trade, timestamp, session, and bid/ask when available. Each reading states whether it is real-time or delayed. | Market-data feed | Prices |
| Option chains | Expirations, calls and puts, strikes, greeks, implied volatility, open interest, daily snapshot prices, and entitled bid/ask quotes. | Market-data feed | Options |
| Short & settlement data | Daily short volume, bi-monthly short interest, weekly off-exchange volume, SEC fails to deliver, and the derived short-squeeze score. | FINRA and SEC | Short data |
| Market status & sentiment | US market sessions, holidays and early closes, CBOE VIX daily history, and put/call ratios. | Exchange calendar and CBOE | Market status & calendar and market sentiment |
Daily bars and live quotes are separate products: an intraday quote never silently replaces a settled daily close. Zero-volume carry-forward candles are excluded from customer-facing daily-price calculations because they do not establish a traded market price.

Your portfolios
Portfolios are the one customer-authored dataset: portfolios, stock and option lots, cost basis, realized and unrealized P&L, and watch-only instruments. Only portfolio endpoints write data, and a portfolio owned by a different account is not exposed. See portfolios.
Freshness & limits
| Data | Typical update point | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| SEC filings and XBRL | As EDGAR publishes and the document is processed. | A newly accepted filing can precede downstream analysis or narrative extraction. |
| Daily prices | After the US session settles. | History is end-of-day data, not a live price series. |
| Live quotes and options | During market hours or when requested. | API/MCP are real-time on Pro and delayed on Free/Plus; option data is a current snapshot, not an options-history store. |
| Earnings calls and IR material | After the issuer publishes it and capture succeeds. | Webcasts, transcripts, slides, news, and events are issuer-site dependent. |
| 13F and N-PORT | On the source filing schedule. | 13F reports are quarterly and can arrive up to 45 days after quarter-end; fund responses state whether holdings are complete. |
| Index composition | Filing-based snapshots and, for eligible sources, daily fund baskets. | Published composition and changes require a complete source snapshot; forecasts are rules-based observations, not index-provider decisions. |
| Insider, congressional, and short data | On each disclosure authority's schedule. | Insider filings and congressional disclosures can lag a trade; FINRA short interest is bi-monthly. |
| Macro and derivatives | On each publisher's release schedule. | FRED series are a curated set; COT reports are weekly. |
| IPOs | Daily EDGAR index sweep. | An offering's terms and classification are published only when the relevant filing evidence supports them. |
Accuracy & provenance
We do not classify financial data from ticker or company-name patterns. Where an authoritative field is missing, the value is omitted rather than guessed. Most values are as reported; derived outputs identify their basis, and filing-derived narrative extractions retain source evidence and are independently verified before publication. Read data methodology for the full provenance, split-adjustment, and fiscal-period rules.
