Brown-Forman Announces Distributor Changes in U.S. Control States
Brown-Forman Corporation (NYSE: BFA, BFB) today announced the strategic realignment of its U.S. control states distribution network. Following a comprehensive review of its distributor agreements across 18 state-managed markets—where government agencies oversee the wholesale or retail distribution of distilled spirits—the company has selected four distributor organizations to represent its portfolio in 11 markets. The remaining seven control states will continue to be served by their existing distributor. Brown-Forman Corporation (NYSE: BFA, BFB) reported financial results for its third quarter and nine months ended January 31, 2026. Third quarter reported net sales increased 2% 1 to $1.1 billion (+1% on an organic basis 2 ) compared to the same prior-year period. In the quarter, reported operating income increased 21% to $340 million (flat on an organic basis) and diluted earnings per share increased 1% to $0.58. For the nine months of the fiscal year, the company’s reported net sales decreased 2% to $3.0 billion (flat on an organic basis) compared to the same prior-year period. Brown-Forman Corporation (NYSE: BFA, BFB) and Pabst Brewing Company (“Pabst”) today announced a mutual agreement to conclude their partnership related to flavored malt beverages (FMBs) within the United States.
