Albertsons Companies Voluntarily Recalls 59 Store-Made Items Containing Pico de Gallo Made with Recalled Jalapeños Following a Supplier Recall Due to Possible Salmonella Contamination
Following a supplier-initiated recall by Ron's Home Style Foods, Albertsons Companies has voluntarily recalled 59 store-made items due to possible salmonella contamination. The affected products contain Pico De Gallo made with jalapeños that were recalled in association with the ongoing FDA recall involving Coast Citrus Distributors. Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy people infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. Consumers who have purchased these items are urged not to consume these products and to dispose of them or return the items to their local store for a full refund. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider. Bringing Communities Together: A Star Spangled Start to America’s 250th
Good food, friendly competition and summer fun brought nearly 3,000 people together on June 27 as Albertsons Companies hosted Star Spangled Block Parties at Jewel-Osco in Chicago, ACME in Philadelphia and Albertsons in Meridian, Idaho. The family-friendly celebrations transformed store parking lots into lively gathering places where neighbors connected over food, games and activities ahead of the Fourth of July holiday.
